Audi steps into the massive vehicles segment with the Q7 built on the MLB platform

The second generation of the Q7 has been introduced in a full-sized SUV form and this one looks well graceful but it performs an excellent job even with its larger size. It looks more similar to the Audi A8 all road than an older Q7. The Audi Q7 also uses the VW’s all-new MLB platform which will also underpin the Bentley’s SUV models. The combination in the UK market starts with a 3.0 Litre TDi Audi Q7 diesel engine which generates 268bhp and a hefty torque of 600Nm coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain is more than enough to propel the 2-ton vehicle on the road. The Audi Q7 engine takes 6.5 seconds to reach the bench sound speed of 62 miles per hour and it has an electronically controlled top speed of 150 miles per hour. On the performance stats when compared with the rivals, the Volvo XC90 and the Land Rover Discovery has an edge over the Audi Q7 in every gear but when it enters into the eighth gear, Audi Q7 takes the lead with massive power and refined engine acceleration.
